Clyde's Prime Rib Restaurant and Bar

About Us

Clyde's Prime Rib - where old school style, classic food, and live music come together to offer a unique Portland dining experience.

Located atop the Alameda Ridge in northeast Portland's Hollywood District, Clyde's Prime Rib Restaurant is one of the city's oldest and most distinguished restaurants. Whether you come for prime rib and Maine lobster by the fireplace in our elegant dining room, burgers and beer on our large outdoor patio, or to enjoy live jazz, blues, and R&B in our "Rat Pack" lounge, Clyde's always has just the right table for you.

The dining room is beautiful, the patio is huge, the lounge is "vintage Vegas," and the music is amazing, but for more than 60 years it has really been about the food. Not the newest, on-trend culinary concepts, but classics from yesteryear, all made with outstanding ingredients, passion, skill...and TLC. We are best known for our dry-aged and slow roasted prime rib, chargrilled steaks, and fresh seafood, but we also offer more casual and "late-night" food, such as lovingly-assembled burgers, Hopworks-IPA-battered fish-n-chips, buttermilk fried chicken, and Poutine-style gravy fries.

At Clyde's, we also take pride in making outstanding cocktails. We don't have "mixologists," but badass bartenders making classic cocktails, such as Martinis, Manhattans, and even Daiquiris (the original way, which is shaken and not-too-sweet)…very old school and very delicious.

We also have a wonderful selection of draft, bottle, and can beers, as well as wines from Oregon, Washington, California, France, Spain and Italy.

We look forward to serving you soon...
